Solar panels-Photovoltaic Modules Print E-mail

A photovoltaic module is a packaged interconnected assembly of photovoltaic cells, also known as solar cells. An installation of photovoltaic modules or panels is known as a photovoltaic array. A collection of these modules that are mechanically fastened together, wired, and designed to be a field-installable unit, sometimes with a glass covering and a frame and backing made of metal, plastic or fiberglass, are known as a photovoltaic panel or simply solar panel.

A panel could either be amorphous or crystalline, crystalline being a more efficient material therefore slightly smaller in physical size and a higher cost

Wilken solar distributes and installs Mono and Polycrystalline modules from Shell Solar and Kyocera.
Shell solar is one of the World’s leading manufactures of photovoltaic modules with a global network of ISO 9001 certified factories using state-of-the-art production machinery.
All modules are manufactured to the highest levels of performance and quality.

Monocrystalline panels offer the benefits of exceptional efficiency and proven reliability backed by a 20-year warranty.
With 30 years manufacturing experience and the patented ‘power Max’ efficiency enhancing technology these are the ultimate modules available.

Multi crystalline panels offer the same cost effective power and reliability backed by a 20-year warranty. They offer cost effective power in the most hostile operating environments.
All modules are manufactured using highly transparent, high impact resistance tampered glass and strong, lightweight torsion and corrosion resistant anodized aluminum frames for protection against rough handling and are provided with high quality dust and watertight junction boxes with screw terminals.
Panels are available in sizes ( as per attached brochure from Kyocera)
